As with the remanufacturing cartridge industry, the ink jet cartridge remanufacturing business has recently emerged as an industry unto itself. You will find that there are many companies now specializing in products that cater to the ink jet market. Many of these are the supply houses expanding their business into this lucrative market. All of these companies are part of an industry known as the "Office Products Remanufacturing Industry."

Companies included in this industry are vast and varied. We have seen explosive growth in this industry, with many new companies being formed to fill the growing needs found here. Indeed, when an industry reaches billion-dollar status, it tends to attract the attention of business people looking for emerging markets to enter into.

Many of these companies are existing corporations that expand their product line into this area. Some are subsidiaries of businesses in a related product field. Others are new entrepreneurial startups whose owners find the opportunities in this new industry to be far more appealing than any others they have researched.
