Director of Inkjet Process & Technical Operations

Overview: This is a multi-tasking position that requires multiple skills including research and development, teaching and training, quality control and manufacturing. The Director of Process & Technical is responsible for researching, developing, qualifying and implementing the policies and procedures necessary for the successful remanufacturing of inkjet cartridges and then imparting this information to others per the company plan.

This person must possess the skills necessary to work with engineering and manufacturing to develop tools, supplies and equipment that will be used in the remanufacturing process and then sold to customers.

The Director will be responsible for all aspects of administering and teaching the Inkjet Training Academy on a routine basis.

He will spend a portion of his time working with existing and prospective customers assisting them with procedures and will be able to make recommendations on equipment, tools and ink. He will train the staff on processes used in remanufacturing business.

He will write technical papers for submission to trade publication such as Imaging Spectrum, The Recycler and Recharger Magazines.

The Director will oversee a separate inkjet cartridge remanufacturing operation created specifically to solidify the various processes being developed and to identify new equipment, chemistries, and processes as opportunity for gain is identified.

Authority: Reports to the President/CEO. Develops operating plan and budget and operates within them.

Position requires travel approximately 1-5 days per month to visit customers as well as attending trade shows where the company exhibits.

Salary is negotiable based on experience. Opportunity for incentive and/or bonus pay based on meeting and/or exceeding performance commitments. Other company sponsored benefits include paid vacation, paid national holidays and co-sponsored health and accident insurance.

Education and Experience: A degree in Physics or Chemistry is required. Experience in mechanical and electrical engineering is helpful. The position requires a minimum of five years experience in the remanufacturing industry. The candidate must demonstrate strong analytical skills and the ability to articulate verbally and in writing. Must speak and write fluently in English and Spanish.
