Feathering/Wicking |
|
|
A term used
to describe the tendency of ink to travel in uneven patterns into a
given substrate. Excess feathering or wicking in a printed character
is perceived by the user to be fuzzy and unclear. If to much feathering
or wicking is seen when doing a drawdown after refilling, the cartridge
would be considered a failure.
