Colorado Spring-based inkjet remanufacturing leader R-Jet Tek announces that it will be offering the innovative new plug valve developed by Promax Imaging Ltd. of the U.K. to its North American customers. The tiny device solves the biggest hurdle in refilling new-style Epson single-color cartridges by enabling refilling with a simple syringe, without the need for needles and without a vacuum requirement. The plug valve replaces the present valve in the O.E.M. cartridge and provides a permanent seal, allowing unlimited future refills to the cartridge. The unique design (worldwide patents pending) enables full O.E.M. fill levels, while expelling the air and correctly priming the cartridge during the process. Because the plug valve allows refilling of original O.E.M. cartridges, the final product is cheaper and more reliable than refilling compatibles. During product development, originally as a solution for Epson cartridges, it was discovered that the valve is an ideal solution for other brands as well, including certain Canon and HP cartridges. The plug valve overcomes seal problems with Canons and defective maze hole and leaking ball seal problems with the HP units. According to R-Jet Tek president, Mike Warner, “We are very excited about being able to offer this innovative product to our North American customers.
