R-Jet Tek, an inkjet technology solutions leader, has created a low-cost vacuum fill cradle for its Spectra 5i and vacuum fill machines. Designed to simplify cartridge refilling for low-volume remanufacturers, the new cradles are available now.
Unlike the cartridge-specific cradles machined from aluminum and equipped with specially designed high-quality non-coring needles, this unit has individual ink lines and uses generic 3-inch low-cost needles. The operator manually inserts the needles into the cartridge, which enables it to adapt to any of the popular cartridges. The cabinet is made from Delrin plastic and incorporates a special seal to achieve vacuum. It also includes an adjustable valve for releasing the vacuum during the filling process, which helps produce better-performing cartridges.
"This product offers a low-cost, safe option for remanufacturers producing lower volumes of a wider variety of cartridges on our high-quality systems," said Vic Johnson, director of communications.
