OCP has announced the availability of new inks for use in new cartridges in printers released by HP and Epson. They are available now from R-Jet Tek, according to sales manager Ricardo Gomez.
A newly formulated pigmented black, BKP89 is used in 2 new cartridges. These are the HP 94, and HP 96 (hi capacity). They are used in a brand new line of DeskJet, PhotoSmart, and OfficeJet printers. The HP 99 is a photo cartridge and uses BK50 (black), CL65 (light cyan), and ML63 (light magenta). The HP 100 is a photo black cartridge and uses BK58 (black), BK57 (dark grey), and BK56 (light grey). The color inks for these cartridges (HP 95, HP 97) are still under development, and will be available soon.
New inks for the HP Business Inkjet printer cartridges are also available. BKP41 is a pigmented black, and is used in the HP 4844 (No. 10) cartridge. C68 is a cyan ink, and is used in the HP 4836 (No. 11) cartridge. Y58 is a yellow ink, and is used in the HP 4838 (No. 11) cartridge. M66 is a magenta ink, and is used in the HP 4837 (No. 11) cartridge.
The Photosmart 740 uses 4 different cartridges. BKP49 is a pigmented black, and is used in the HP 56 cartridge. The HP 57 cartridge is a tricolor and uses OCP C60 (cyan), Y52 (yellow), and M58 (magenta). The HP 58 is a photo cartridge and uses OCP BK50 (black), CL65 (light cyan), and ML63 (light magenta). The HP59 is a photo black cartridge and uses BK58 (black), BK57 (dark grey), and BK56 (light grey).
There are 6 new inks for Epson Stylus R300 printer. The T048-140 uses OCP BK73 (black). The T048-240 uses OCP C76 (cyan). The T048-440 uses OCP Y61 (yellow). The T048-340 uses OCP M72 (magenta). The T048-540 uses OCP CL77 (light cyan). The T048-640 uses OCP ML73 (light magenta).

They will evolve into the new standard cartridges as other older models are being phased out. It is important for remanufacturers to begin now to offer refills for these cartridges to capture the business of these new end users”, added Gomez.
