…HP recently announced their High Definition Nozzle Architecture (HDNA) 2400 dot per inch printhead. While it is used currently in their Web Press T series products the technology surely will find its way to other formats such as wide format, consumer, and office printing.
As that happens, opportunity for our industry will surface. However, perhaps the biggest challenge to inkjet usage in the office environment hinges on the introduction of quality affordable paper that can be printed on both sides. But as paper manufacturers such as Finch make papers for the Web Presses they my see the opportunity for the higher speed inkjet printers making their way into the office environment.
