HP Instant Ink Program Locks out Cartridges

If you accept HP's instant ink you are locked out from using remanufactured or refilled cartridge in that printer. You will have to delete the printer driver and then when you reload the Driver be sure to reload not accepting the Instant Ink blockout.

Don’t update your Lexmark, HP or Brother firmware.

The above listed printer manufacturers are continuing to change their firmware in order to lock-out remanufactured cartridges from working in their printers.Most OEM’s ask owners to set their configuration so the firmware updates automatically.
